FAQ

Domestic electrical questions.

Can you add extra sockets without making a mess?

In most cases, yes. New sockets are usually run from an existing circuit, with cables routed through floors, voids or chased into walls, and making good kept to a minimum. We’ll explain the route and any making good before starting.

Do I need a full rewire?

Not always. Testing the existing installation shows the condition of the wiring. Some homes need a full rewire; others only need a new consumer unit and work on particular circuits. We’ll tell you honestly which applies.

Will I get a certificate?

Yes. Completed work is tested and you receive the appropriate certificate: an Electrical Installation Certificate for new circuits, or a Minor Works Certificate for smaller additions. Notifiable work is registered with Building Control.

Do you work for landlords and letting agents?

Yes, for installation and remedial work such as consumer unit upgrades, new circuits and repairs. Get in touch with details of the property and what is needed.
