Is your fuse board due an upgrade?
Many South London homes still have old fuse boxes with rewireable fuses and no RCD protection. A modern consumer unit is one of the most worthwhile safety improvements you can make.
Signs it may be time
- Rewireable fuses (wire in a ceramic holder) instead of switches
- No RCD protection on your circuits
- A plastic consumer unit, or a board with signs of heat or scorching
- Frequent tripping, or adding new circuits for an extension or kitchen
- An electrical report (EICR) that recommends replacement

Do you provide free quotes?
Yes. Quotes are free and without obligation. For most jobs we’ll visit, look at the work and give you a clear written price before anything starts.
Can you upgrade my consumer unit (fuse board)?
Yes, it’s one of our main services. We replace old fuse boxes with a modern consumer unit with RCD/RCBO protection, test every circuit and give you the certificate. Consumer unit replacement is notifiable work, so it is registered with Building Control.
Do you take on commercial work?
Yes: distribution boards, SWA and power cabling, lighting, cable containment and data cabling. On larger projects we bring in additional qualified labour as the job requires.
Are you qualified and insured?
Yes. Work is carried out by an ECS Gold Card electrician qualified to NVQ Level 3, AM2 and the 18th Edition (BS 7671), and ODO Building Services holds public liability insurance.
